Loxley C of E Community Primary School
There has been a school in the village since the 1840s and it has been on the present site for over 130 years. The school has a strong family ethos. Older children mix with and care for younger children. All pupils can learn at least one musical instrument. The school is an important part of the local community providing several services including : photocopying, fax service, laminating and room hire.

Small Class Sizes
Loxley School has 2 classes: KS1 and Foundation are taught in one class-the Infants; and KS2 is taught in the second class-the juniors. There are usually 18 pupils in the Infants and 24 in the juniors.
Excellent Standards
In September 2006 OfSTED said that Loxley School:
"provides its pupils with a good standard of education...The richness of the curriculum ensures that all pupils make good progress....Care and guidance are outstanding-parents are overwhelming in their praise of the school and pupils praise their teachers for the very good support they provide."
Outstanding Results
Since Loxley School is small it is not possible to publish our sats results for each individual year, nor do we appear in league tables. However, we are very proud of our sats results and although we are unable to publish results because of the small class sizes (without running the risk of identifying individual pupils), we CAN PUBLISH AVERAGE RESULTS FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS.
