Welcome To Loxley

Welcome to the official website of Loxley Parish, Warwickshire. This website is maintained by the Parish Council, and contains information about the village and parish of Loxley. In addition, it provides details of publications by - and information about - the Parish Council and its work.

Brief History

Loxley has ancient origins. Records indicate that it was given to Worcester Cathedral by Offa, King of Mercia nearly 1,250 years ago, although there were people living here long before that. When the Romans arrived at nearby Tiddington, the local people would have been Celts (Ancient British). The village has retained its rural character and historic feeaethesl and is a very active community – generally centred around the Church, the School and of course the pub (The Fox Inn).
